Join "A Night of Latin Dance" as part of the programming for the 2023 Capital Bachata Festival in partnership with Ritmo Baile Dance School!
​
Aimed at beginner dancers or those with no previous dance experience, your ticket includes a great night intro to the world of Latin dance through activities and performances at two easy to get to locations:
** Ritmo Baile Dance School (12 Byward Market Square)**
* 6:00PM - 8:00PM - A 2 Hr Latin Dance Crash Course in Bachata. A sexy dance from the Dominican Republic that is sure to impress anyone on the dance floor!
* 8:00PM - 8:30PM - An optional bonus class focusing on how to take your new moves to the social dance floor and look good doing it!
** Palais des Congres de Gatineau (50 Bd Maisonneuve)**
9:30PM - 10:45PM - VIP Seats to watch Latin Dance Performances from local, national and international artists! Doors open at 9:00PM so feel free to drop by early and grab a drink before the show!
10:45PM - 3:00AM - Show off what you learned on the dance floor with top national and international DJs playing the best Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Zouk all night long in two rooms!
Ticket Costs:
No partner is required to take the dance classes or watch the shows. That said, we are offering a discount for those who buy 2 tickets (couples/duos).

Bachata Fusion Partnerwork Intensive with Tina Cavicchio

For Advanced Dancers
Join Tina Cavicchio (@tinacavicchio) and her incredible assistants, Lena (@lenasunrose_99) and Yosi (@daddy.yosi), for a 2 hour bachata fusion partnerwork intensive!

This workshop will focus on incorporating body movement in your social dancing, and will explore elements of traditional bachata and sensual/fusion. Tina and her team are known for their seamless switch dances and infectious energy on the social dance floor! Get ready for a fun, dynamic workshop that will have plenty of tips to help elevate your social dancing for both leads and follows!
This workshop is targeted towards advanced level dancers. Advanced dancers typically have been:
* Dancing bachata for a minimum of 3 years (recommended but not required),
* Have a strong understanding of weight transfers/lead and follow technique, and
* Are comfortable leading and following basic body isolations
